■ NBC World Series | August 3-August 6 Where: Eck Stadium In 2022, the NBC World Series will be split between Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson, KS (July 28-31), and Eck Stadium in Wichita, KS (August 1-6).

■ Go Play, Nature’s Calling Backpack Event | August 3 Where: Multiple Locations Come pick up a backpack that is full of supplies to explore the great outdoors. Some of the items include side-walk chalk, colored pencils, a weather window activity and much more! Through the funding of The Charles and Joanne Mcllaine Foundation, these backpacks are completely free to Wichita, and surrounding families. There will be 8 different locations across the city of Wichita that you can grab a backpack from! See below for more information on pickup addresses and times.

■ A Summer of Magic: Harry Potter Dome Theater Experience | August 4-5 Where: Exploration Place Exploration Place is bringing the world of Harry Potter to Wichita! Each week our wizard and muggle guests will watch one movie in the series on the dome screen with booming surround sound. Before the show, participate in themed classes and interactives provided by a variety of Hogsmeade shops and magical places. Butterbeer will flow freely and there will be an opportunity to take home muggle artifacts.

■ First Friday’s at Revolutsia | August 5 Where: Revolutsia Haute Handmade Markets & Revolutsia has a Brand New Market Series: First Fridays at Revolutsia!!! Join us #FirstFridays throughout 2022 for a FREE Pop Up Market from 5-8pm each month! We can’t think of a better place to be on Wichita’s #FirstFriday art crawl than the coolest shipping container spot in town!

■ First Friday Under the Stars | August 5 Where: Apparition: Wichita Enjoy entertainment, food and drinks in the old west the first Friday of every month! Each month will feature different entertainment and experiences, so please be sure to follow our Facebook page to get all the info!

■ 3rd Annual Peach Fest | August 6 Where: Blood Orchard It’s Market week y’all!! And it’s also our 3rd annual Peach Fest!! #ictpeachfest2022 will be in full swing this coming Saturday, August 6th!! Our amazing food truck family will be serving up their very best from 11a-2p, including a peach dish made with #bloodorchard peaches!! Our vendors will be ready with all of their wonderful goodies from 9a-3p, and of course we’ll have our peaches

■ Filipino Barrio Fiesta | August 6 Where: Sedgwick County Park Celebration of Filipino Culture. Please join us on August 6, 2022 starting at 12 noon – 6 pm at Sedgwick county Park Sunflower shelter.

■ Yadda Fest 2 | August 6 Where: Odd Fellow Hall Yadda Fest is back! Join us August 6th from 5PM – 2AM for live music, local vendors, a carefully crafted cocktail and food menu and MORE! This festival is inspired by the youtube show The YaddaYaddaYadda Show where host Courtney Nance interviews artists, chefs and bartenders alike with a goal of educating and connecting with the community.

■ Rock’s Dugout Sportscard and Sports Memoabilia Show | August 7 Where: Sedgwick County Park Over 50 tables of sportscards and sports memorabilia. Dealers selling and buying on the entire concourse of Northrock Bowling Lanes.

Around The Corner! ■ Festive Hoop Jam | August 14 Where: Charles Koch Arena Festive ICT presents the inaugural Festive Hoop Jam Classic. A dynamic basketball event which includes a player meet and greet, slam dunk contest, and 5 on 5 street ball celebrity basketball game.

■ Shop & Grub | August 21 Where: Naftzger Park Shop & Grub is our monthly market featuring a unique variety of vendors selling vintage clothing, jewelry, accessories, home goods, wine, delicious food and more.
